Last week's article on house costs ("House prices leave city dwellers out in the cold", August ) claims that "staff at St Andrews University enjoy the best prospects for property - the average salary is ?33,515, or 34.5 per cent of the average Dundee house".
If you take into account the cost of a 12-mile journey, and the bridge toll that St Andrews staff living in Dundee would have to pay to get to work, I suspect that staff at Dundee and Abertay Dundee universities enjoy even greater prospects for property than those at St Andrews. Or do you really believe St Andrews University is located in Dundee?
