Susan Blackmore's ill-informed review lists one side of a debate on consciousness but not the other. Making sense of the causal interaction of consciousness and brains is puzzling but important. Blackmore mistakes her lack of understanding of the subtleties involved for lack of understanding on the part of the protagonists. But, if she has the courage of her opinions, I would welcome the opportunity to engage her publicly - perhaps in The Times Higher ?
