The article on the Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded project, The Complete Work of Charles Darwin Online, (Who Got That Cash, July 1), was incorrect in stating that it would include all Darwin's unpublished writings. His manuscript letters, amounting to some 15,000 documents in all, are in the course of being published by the Darwin Correspondence Project. Your omission suggests that the latter, which has been producing the highest-quality scholarly publication of Darwin's letters for 20 years, does not exist or that the project's work is being duplicated by the new online resource. Information on the letters is available at ; the new online project is outlined at .
