In "Persecution (is) complex" (21 May), you cite a University and College Union survey that placed our university top of a "league table" for staff complaining of bullying. This was based on a mere six complaints from 36 respondents out of a total of 1,800 staff - a result of highly dubious statistical significance, as was pointed out to UCU at the time. Our staff surveys suggest that most of my colleagues believe our university is generally a supportive workplace.
