The University of Oxford should be proud of the way in which it has used its Rupert Murdoch chair of language and communication to turn "bad money into good" ("Oxford steadfast on Murdoch links", 14 July).
This is a success that deserves to be repeated: can we now look forward to the establishment of the Medellín Cartel chair of pharmacology, the Hugh Hefner chair of women's studies and the Robert Mugabe chair of applied electoral politics?
