Frank Furedi's comments on the proposed Middlesex University development at Tottenham Hale are unacceptable (Soapbox, May 28). The site has excellent transport links to central London and is adjacent to a regional park - hardly an undesirable location. His distinction between a community college and a global university is bogus. What makes him think there are insufficient candidates for university in North London to make the development work?
