I was elated to read of David Lane's discovery that people like me are "born leaders" ("Spot the university candidate - aged 3", THES, September 19). Mind you, it took him two-and-a-half years to spot the obvious. I have always known that, despite my failings, I am entitled to lead. But my associates deny this. Is there a badge I can wear? Why should we worry about issues such as dyslexia when we can engage in such quality research?
