Good news does not make good copy in the education press any more than in daily newspapers. Things are far from perfect, but in The THES (August 16) we find a wealth of negative articles about Ucas, Oxford, Cambridge, Scottish and other institutions.
Surely UK Education plc would fare better if the education press paid attention to the public celebration of strength as well as correction of weaknesses?
