The latest version of the national qualifications framework is mostly good news ("QAA revises framework", THES , November 17). Positioning the foundation degree at HE level 2 alongside DipHEs and HNDs is a great improvement.
This large level 2 grouping is to be referred to as "intermediate level". Is there still time to retitle the foundation degree an "intermediate degree", which might be a more appropriate descriptor?
