I read with real interest the fight that Liz Schafer and her colleagues went through to obtain parity in salaries with their male colleagues at Royal Holloway, University of London ("There's no good reason for this inequality," 30 June).
Having examined the league table that accompanied the article, I find myself - as a male professor at the University of Plymouth - wondering whether I should follow her example.
