Times Higher Education (THE) has today announced that the University of Oxford, Manchester United Legend Gary Neville, and the Study UK campaign will join the inaugural THE Student Festival UK. Aimed at revolutionising international student recruitment, the festival is one in a series showcasing the opportunities available for studying abroad to a global audience of prospective international students.??

The University of Oxford joins an array of UK institutions who are already a part of the event series including University of Surrey, University of Glasgow, University of Worcester, Imperial College London, Cardiff University, Coventry University, and Kingston University of London. As partners of the THE Student Festival UK, students will be able to speak directly with these universities to find out more about what they can offer and get a holistic view of what their upcoming life on campus might be like. ?

These universities will be joined by a diverse, interesting panel of speakers including Manchester United legend and sports pundit, Gary Neville for the UK event. Neville will discuss the opportunities provided by University Academy 92 (UA92) – which accelerates careers in the worlds of media, business, sport and digital – co-founded by himself and other members of the Manchester United class of ‘92 (Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt), in collaboration with Lancaster University. Alongside Neville, speakers at the event include CEOs, Forbes 30under30 entrepreneurs, YouTubers, academics, and more.

Lastly, THE have also announced that the Study UK campaign, delivered by the British Council in partnership with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, will headline as the lead partner for the THE Student Festivals UK event. As the UK’s national campaign for promoting UK higher education overseas, Study UK provides practical information and insight for international students at all stages of their journey: from choosing the UK, to how to apply, to career-building, and employability.

Other partners include: International Schools Network, an online platform enabling international schools and their leaders to share articles, insights and best practice directly with their peers around the world; Eye on Ivy, a college placement agency which focuses on placing students in universities overseas; Indian National Students Association, a platform helping to connect current and prospective students with like-minded Indians who have studied in the UK; Save the Student, who help to educate and support undergraduate students in making their money go further whilst at university; Meetup, a platform that organises online groups and hosts in-person and virtual events for people who share similar interests; and lastly, NUEL (National University Esport League), the UK university esports tournament provider. During the event, NUEL will be hosting an interuniversity Esport tournament with the participating UK universities as part of at the Red Bull gaming sphere, in partnership with Red Bull.
