City University of Mogadishu is located in Somalia. The university has three campuses: Marine, K4 and YK, as well as three libraries, and laboratories for computers, science, engineering, agriculture, and marine studies.
All students are taught English before the first semester begins. This ensures students have a good English proficiency that they can use in international careers after university, and can be practised through paid annual internships in Somalia and beyond.
At City University of Mogadishu, students are taught in small classes working around a student-centric curriculum.
There are a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes available across the university’s five colleges: humanities and social science, agriculture and natural resources, engineering and computing, business and administrative sciences, and health and human services.
A unique addition to City University’s facilities are the two boats for students and staff to be able to use and conduct research in programmes that benefit local industries such nautical sciences and maritime transportation.
In addition to its five colleges, City University has a Foundations and Languages Institute, Marine and Fisheries Institute, and Center of Conflict, Governance and Peacebuilding. Other notable centres and schools include the Center of Excellence for Youth Wellness and Employment, dedicated to the well-being of students and building soft skills for employment benefits.
