For more than 100 years, Victoria University (VU) based in Melbourne, Australia has offered accessible education to students.
VU is one of Australia’s few dual-sector universities, offering courses in both vocational education (TAFE) and higher education –from a certificate or diploma course through to an undergraduate degree or a postgraduate qualification by coursework or research.
VU’s higher education courses are taught through the award-winning VU Block Model?. An innovative and internationally recognised teaching and learning model, it has a proven track record of academic and career success for VU students. Subjects are taught one at a time, rather than studying multiple subjects at once – this allows students to get to know their teachers and classmates, put theory into practice, apply knowledge to real-world scenarios and receive fast feedback on assessments.
There are six campuses in Melbourne, and international campuses in Sydney and Brisbane.
The University is made of three colleges and one learning unit; First Year College; the College of Sport, Health and Engineering; the College of Arts, Business, Law, Education and IT; and Learning Design and Innovation.
VU is one of the largest and most culturally diverse institutions in Australia and provides a range of student support programs for both local and international students.
There are a huge variety of student-run clubs including football, cheerleading, music, international cultural groups and many more. There are also a number of sports teams for students as well as an aquatic centre, sports courts, athletics track and gyms with personal trainers and group fitness classes.
