Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research is located in the Guntar district of Andhra Pradesh in India.

The university¡¯s campus is located in the rural area of Vadlamudi, southeast of Guntur City. Spread across 42-acres, the campus has tree-lined streets, lush green lawns, spacious classrooms and large open spaces.

There are 14 departments at the university, offering undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate courses across science, technology and research. There are several engineering departments, including: applied engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and engineering, and electrical engineering.

In addition, there are a range of science departments, including: agricultural and horticultural sciences, sciences and humanities and pharmaceutical sciences. Thirdly, Vignan University offers technology departments, such as: biotechnology, information technology. The remaining two departments offer a range of courses in management studies and law.

Students at the university can participate in a wide range of clubs and societies across literacy, culture, sports and fine arts. There are two open-air theatres, a 400-metre athletics track and an indoor sports complex.
