Early career stage grant

Award winner: Constance Alabert

Institution: University of?Dundee

Value: ?1.1?million

Impact of DNA replication on epigenetics

“With the grant that I have just received, my group will have the opportunity to answer fundamental questions related to the maintenance of cell identity through rounds of divisions,” said Constance Alabert, principal investigator at the University of Dundee’s Centre for Gene Regulation and Expression. “During the next five years we will try to detect how cells duplicate their genetic and epigenetic material. “We will use this knowledge to uncover the molecular mechanism of cell fate. The prestigious grant from the ERC will provide me with the funding I need to carry my ambitious five-year plan. It will also help me to attract best national and international talents to work in my lab.”
