I am surprised that Robert Cook, a professor of history, is comparing his situation to slavery. I do not recall many slaves earning a professorial salary. RAE or no RAE, a contract is a contract. I hope that he carefully read the terms and conditions of employment at Sussex University before he signed himself up for more "slavery".
