All work and no play?

It seems a little harsh to label this year's graduates "shy of jobs" (News in brief, July 23).

More and more students are spending term time in paid employment. And more are spending their second-year vacations in internships or other forms of work experience.

Do we really begrudge them a few months of leisure before they resume the weekly grind? Taking a couple of months off to recharge the batteries seems like a sensible career-management move to me.
