Thomas Harrison¡¯s article ¡°Let the right one in¡± (Opinions, 21?August) argued about the importance of including in the selection process an assessment of candidates¡¯ teaching in action. But which notional student views should be considered by learned assessors of teaching practice ¨C the gifted few, the listless, the desperate or the busy scribes, heads down as if in the presence of an ancient pharaoh?
