I am glad that David Prosser was interested in my review of Emma Crewe¡¯s The House of Commons (¡°The personal pitch¡±, Letters, 23 April). But I would not necessarily agree with Prosser in his belief that Crewe¡¯s description of the Oxford West and Abingdon seat as having been stolen in the 2010 general election was ¡°outrageous¡±. If I did, I would have said so in my review. However, he will need to buy Crewe¡¯s book and read page 40 of it if he wishes to know why she used that word. It¡¯s a good book.
