"I can't stand (...) structural anti-Americans (...who) say that America was once good and beneficial to everyone, but nowadays is becoming a disorderly factor." Thus Emmanuel Todd. Where does one start? Cuba? Vietnam? Nicaragua? Chile? Lebanon? Todd is either suffering from structural pro-Americanism or amnesia.
As for Chomsky's uncritical anti-Americanism, as far as I can see he broadly supports the Constitution, upholds core American values such democracy, freedom of speech and opposition to tyranny and empire, and is in favour of returning to traditional American practices such as electing the president.
