Cynicism won't help dyslexics 3

The need for action to raise awareness of specific learning difficulties among students is seen as important enough for the Higher Education Funding Council for England to fund a ?500,000 study. We were, therefore, surprised to read that the general secretary of the Association of Educational Psychologists feels dyslexia may be being "overdiagnosed" in undergraduates. The highly trained professionals diagnosing learning difficulties are usually from assessment centres independent of any university and use rigorous diagnostic procedures.
