The snide remarks and often incomprehension of his work that greeted Derrida's death in the press have been an unedifying spectacle.

Your feature on his legacy redressed the balance, particularly contributions by Rachel Bowlby and Derek Attridge (Features, November 12).

Derrida's critics would do well to read his Limited Inc , especially the essay "Limited Inc. a b c". It may not have been the kindest piece of writing, but it hit the mark.
