Don't blame us

Your report on the limited confidence of the Quality Assurance Agency in Anglia Polytechnic University's management standards contained a reference to partner colleges "dotted around East Anglia" (October 15). I wish to point out that the audit did not include any of the partner colleges. The QAA had broad confidence in my own institution, Norwich School of Art and Design, when it was audited in 2003. It is unfortunate that APU decided to apportion blame to its partner institutions for its own failings.
