John Turner (Letters, May) has not provided any specific examples of universities that have been prevented from introducing innovative engineering curricula by professional bodies' requirements. If any of his 58 correspondents have encountered such difficulty, then we at the Engineering Council would be keen to hear from them and to explore ways of resolving the issues - including perhaps putting them in touch with universities that have successfully developed new approaches.
