I have many examples of the same publication being cited in four different ways (Letters, December 7). For instance, my first book, Adolescent Gambling , published in 1995, has more than 150 citations, but is cited in four different ways on the ISI database, all because some of those citing the book have either the wrong year of publication or wrong spelling of my surname - Griffiths (1995), Griffiths (1996), Griffith (1995) and Griffith (1996).
