High-handed attack

The situation at Nottingham University is another example of high-handed management in place of cooperation, arrogance in place of compromise, and imposition in place of negotiation ("Local pay plan sparks boycott call", August 6). To blatantly ignore the national agreements is bad enough but to restrict access to the Universities Superannuation Scheme is an attack that no one can ignore. Our pension scheme is a genuinely positive element of our employment, and to be denied access to it for the first part of your career is no inducement to work at Nottingham.
