November 24, 2000

I read Adam James's article about homicide research ( THES , November 3) with particular interest, mainly because my partner, Kate Cavanagh of the University of Glasgow, has been an integral part of the research team. I was therefore disappointed not to see her name or that of Ruth Lewis of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne mentioned. Between them, they have conducted more than 50 per cent of the interviews mentioned, as well as examining case files including some harrowing material.
