News that the London School of Economics and Imperial College are collaborating ("LSE to achieve clout via alliance", THES, July 20) is a bit like the romance between Helen and Paul on Big Brother . Everyone wonders why, given their proclivities and positions, it took them so long. But the problem remains: how to find a snappy logo, combining both names, to market the joint projects that will emerge from finally getting into bed together. LIMPSE simply does not emit the proper vibes and LOSEIC does not sound right either.
