The Sunday Times' claim, repeated in Times Higher Education, that "a reporter posing as a Russian applicant was told by universities including ... This was categorically rebutted both before and after publication; the informal offer made was identical to the grades offered to UK students. A more detailed rebuttal can be found on the university's newsblog at .
