I read with due concern Simon Lilley's article on the "gold-mining" of academia by "feral" corporate publishers ("How publishers feather their nests on open access to public money", 1 November).
His support for online open access may be laudable and may yet ring the death knell for despicably gross-margined publishers, but when I decided to access the full version of his report on his own site at the Leicester Research Archive, the University of Leicester's open-access repository service, all my browsers said: "An internal server error occurred. Please try again later."
