Self-fulfilling prophecy

I was shocked to read the recent University and College Union report on universities at risk of closure. It is beyond belief that a body claiming to represent university staff has issued a report that identifies individual at-risk institutions, thereby threatening their viability. The dangers of self-fulfilling prophecy should be apparent even to the dimmest wits.

This convincingly demonstrates the nature of the UCU leadership: its self-serving actions will no doubt satisfy those in the government who would be happy to see institutions fail under the new fees regime. Congratulations, Sally Hunt, MBE for services to the coalition.
