There has been a great deal of discussion on the content and importance of research degree programmes. But since a "snapshot of work" has revealed that they are "particularly good in transferable skills development" (Letters, March 2) - and this snapshot is welcomed in order to "embed the QAA code of practice on RDPs in the sector" - how can we not be convinced?
