Westminster University Students' Union urges the unions to get back around the table with the Universities and Colleges Employers' Association to discuss the pay dispute.
We are trying to do exactly that. Sadly Ucea, led by Westminster vice-chancellor Geoffrey Copland, refuses to meet us. With Ucea and Universities UK at loggerheads, I find it deplorable that they are using our ballot as an excuse for not getting their houses in order. They need to sort out their squabbles and come back to the table to demonstrate that they want to avoid industrial action as much as we do.
