The article on the Higher Education Academy didn't focus enough on the positives in the evaluation report. Of course the report highlights a number of areas for improvement, but it also demonstrates some of the good work the academy has done since its creation. For many institutions, one of the most important aspects is the relationship with academics and the support given to them. The work of the subject centres also shows that the HEA has many good links with staff.

We're confident that the board, some of whom are Universities UK members, will take away a number of recommendations in the review to ensure the significant resources invested in the academy are used to the best effect.
