LIVING LANDSCAPE
An exhibition of Shobha Banerjee's paintings will be shown at the Commonwealth Institute from April 28 to June 18. The artist's work questions her sense of place and her French-Indian upbringing lends a unique insight into notions of history, culture and environment. Her works portray groups of animals such as elephants and giraffes and subdued earth tones give them a primordial quality, resembling pre-historic cave paintings.
