Family doctors are being taught about the benefits and dangers of complementary medicine in an Exeter University course believed to be the first of its kind in Europe. The joint initiative by the university's centre for complementary health studies and postgraduate medical school aims to meet increasing demand for complementary treatments by giving GPs scientific evidence of their effectiveness and the views of complementary medicine practitioners.
