Indigenous Australian researchers from five universities will share a Pounds 500,000 government fund over three years. The researchers from Western Sydney, Queensland, Melbourne, Monash and Sydney universities are investigating a range of issues affecting indigenous people. These include an exploration of the conditions that indigenous Australian children need for success at school and in their communities, the impact of climate change on marine processes and harvests and how to manage it, and the effects of cultural stereotyping on the academic performance of indigenous students.
