The world's most exciting gathering of mathematicians ever takes place at Oxford University next week. The topic? Well, according to Oxford University's press office the mathematicians will be "considering the problem of paint drying". One hopes that the group's discussions on this incredibly important area of concern for industry will be as exciting as "problems attacked" at previous meetings of the group. Such as the "freezing and thawing of fish". . .
