Deputy Prime Minister Michael Heseltine this week announced a Pounds 10 million programme aimed at boosting links between the world of education and the information superhighway.
He said the money will be used to support and evaluate 23 pilot projects that aim "to convert good ideas into living experience". Forty nine further education colleges are taking part in the scheme, where the projects are orientated mainly towards vocational education, as well as higher education colleges, local authorities and Training and Enterprise Councils.
