Chair for comics

The country's first chair of comedy is being proposed for Lancaster University to accompany a national archive devoted to British humour. Lancaster cultural history professor Jeffrey Richards has backed the idea, provided that funds are generated by the project to build a National Museum of Comedy at Morecambe.
