This week's award for timing goes to the University of Essex, whose press release about its involvement in the Alfa Latin American student exchange network (see above) coincided with a story in its Wyvern newsletter illustrating the career opportunities this opens. "Essex graduate assassinated," was the headline on a story that Fransisco Ruiz Massieu, murdered secretary general of Mexico's ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party, spent the years from 1969 to 1971 studying politics at Essex.
