Prospective students can access information on which courses still have vacancies through their computer screens, by keying in and information will return to them by electronic or trad-itional mail.

Meanwhile, new computing graduates Colin Little and Ian Roxborough are now in California's Silicon Valley, working for silicon chip manufacturer Silvaco International, after spotting its job advert on the Internet, applying by electronic mail and taking a test on the Internet. "Ian and Colin's success illustrates how technology and communications are going to develop in the future,'' Ms Cowan said.
