A workshop on 'European water scenarios: from the Mediterranean Sea to Central Asia' will take place in Brussels from 30 June to 1 July.
The main objective of the workshop is to mobilise scientists and stakeholders to discuss research issues with regard to water demand and availability on a regional level. The Commission also hopes to bring together research communities with a view to creating synergy and avoiding research duplication.
The event will highlight that which is already underway in Europe in areas such as methodologies for integrated water resources management, and new approaches to water stress. Water research projects funded by the European Commission will also be presented.
