Steven Jay Gould, lecturing in London last week, revealed that even the most awe-inspiring of science writers can have problems with their editors. A paper he wrote on Darwin's drawing room at Down House, which contains the chair in which he had many of his great thoughts, was published with the title "Armchair Revolutionary". "'Revolutionary Armchair' was the real title," he said.
