The omnipresent Open University has acquired a human billboard in the shape of Scottish Second Division football club Queen of the South, whose shirts now bear the familiar OU logo. The deal, brokered by Scottish regional office, can do nothing but good for the OU's reputation for aiding the underprivileged - the Dumfries-based club is already struggling against relegation. At least the OU can be credited with avoiding the obvious by not sponsoring Hamilton Academical.
