An estate agent's dream: hundreds of people have been turning up to view Westerlands, Glasgow University's playing fields which have just been put up for sale.

The interest, however, is not so much in the playing fields as on them: they are currently providing a practice pitch for Rangers, with their new Pounds 4.5 million acquisition, Gazza. Glasgow's administrators have been ruefully remarking that it would be nice if the pitch raised as much cash as Mr Gascoigne.
