After leaving the Colegio de Teologia in Pamplona, Gabriel Urralburu's career prospered to the extent that he became chief minister of the autonomous government of Navarre. But he has done less well lately - under the Spanish system allowing judges to consign those accused of serious charges to jail, he found himself a couple of weeks ago languishing in Logrono jail charged with corruption.
