Leeds moots closures

Leeds University has announced that it may close two of its campuses, including the 18th-century rural mansion Bretton Hall, to save ?2.6 million a year in running costs. The move has raised fears of job losses among the 45 academics and 110 support staff based at Bretton Hall and at the Manygates campus in Wakefield. A final decision will be made by the governing council on December 9.
