The British Dental Association has joined the campaign urging the Government to increase student loans to medical, dental and veterinary students. Katy Clarke, association student liaison officer, said: "The five-year dental course now involves longer terms and intense study for up to 45 weeks of the year. Dental students are unable to earn extra money to top up their grant by taking part-time or vacation employment."
