The first Unesco chair in cultural heritage studies in the Asia Pacific region has been created at Deakin University in Melbourne. A new centre will cooperate with universities in three Indochinese countries. Discussions have taken place with the Royal College of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, the National University of Laos and Vietnam's University of Hue.
